Just been back to a job that I upgraded the DB in and water bonding in November to find the plumber that's fitted a new boiler has cut my bonding to the water main. Now I've got to run the whole lot again FFS.

THAT would depend on how good you are at crimping!!
BUT if you're in any doubt, solder it .. and it WILL be continuous.
Ha I think I can crimp or solder well enough. You learn something new everyday cheers guys saves me a headache.

thats why i like soldiered joints.i'd use a non-insulated butt crimp and cover with a bit of gn/y heat shrink. i'd probably forget to slide the h/s on first and have to cut and re-crimp, thought.
depends on the solder.Not done properly, then.

The solder in soldered joints is to prevent oxidation.
The joint should be electrically and mechanically sound before soldering.
