Discuss supply cable definition in the Electrical Testing & PAT Testing Forum area at ElectriciansForums.net

Hi, in COP 4th Edition does supply cable mean detatchable power cable?
thanks

There's no specific definition in the CoP, but 'supply cable' tends only to mean one that is hard-wired into the appliance. They seem to use the term 'appliance lead set' to denote detachable power cables, such as IEC leads, etc.
See Table 15.1 on page 93, and also chapter 15.9 on page 97 for specifics.
