i have been tasked with inspecting , reporting and eventually remedial upgrades to our properties that have lightning protection systems.

im aware these need to be placed as near to the origin of the supply as possible.
some of these properties have sub DB,s .

i have added type 1+2 to some already, do the sub DB’s require SPD and if so what type?

Don't have regs book to hand but it says 534.2 has the diagram of where the various SPDs go.

So on Sub boards Type 2 or Type 3 may be used in Industrial applications.
