Utc / otis lift sparkies in uk - overtime rates ?

Hi I am from Australia, ETU and we are bargaining with OTIS lifts at the moment. We heard that Otis paid overtime at 1.8 - instead of 1.5 then x2 on Sunday.
Is this correct ? Has it
Are there any UK employees who work for Otis on lifts, who can tell me what their overtime rates are ?

Why don’t you ask Ottis what their pay rates are? It’s a bit specialised to expect general electricians to know.

That said their “engineers” are no great shakes, neither are their installations so I can’t imagine they pay a great deal.


I use the term “engineer” in the very loosest of terms.

I also saw his mate who worked for the AA. He was in his AA van sobbing his heart out and leaning over the steering wheel. I thought to myself..he's heading for a breakdown! lol
