I have two 4KW systems averagely producing 3200KWH each a year. Both are at the highest rate and index linked for 25 year. I haven't looked at the figures in a while but I think I'm getting around 45pence per KWH produced and 3pence for export based on 50% of what's produced. so just shy of 3K a year...Over 25 years that's £75K (likely to be more due to being index linked). The money goes straight in to an ISA (pension). Cost me about £10K to install both systems. Roughly 30% gross yield which is a lot better than any ISA had I left to 10K in the bank.
