morning chaps
i'm trying to employ experienced people to work in central london and as usual i'm having difficulty.
i've tried gumtree with varying levels of success and i've also had a few people from this forum.
although this forum doesn't bear much fruit when i'm looking for electricians
There's loads of mates applying for jobs. i get roughly 5 times as many responses from mates then i do from electricians
i was wondering if anybody knew anywhere else to look or is there too much work out there to go around??
as much as i'd like to i cant do all of it myself!!
thanks in advance

What sort of work is it, how much are you offering, how much work is available ?

An advert in the local wholesalers might work. They might also know of someone who's short of work at the moment.

Going by the Text messages and phone calls I keep getting ,, it seems theres a good bit of work around , I should think the London area has a demand like no other..

Thjere's 2 and a half million people on the dole mate. Some of them are bound to be sparks. Get yasell on the phone to the job centre.

You could try CV library, Monster, Indeed, total jobs, jobsite, fish4jobs, or any other recruitment website.
If you really can't be bothered looking any further than Gumtree you could pay a national agency to do the legwork, such as Ranstad, Hays, Reed, a local agency, the local paper, or as Trev suggests the old-fashioned Jobcentre.
Try all of those before claiming there's a shortage of electricians.

I’ve looked at your previous posts about employing people. You give no information about yourself or company. Do you seriously expect a skilled electrician to reply to what would seem a nonentity?

The first thing anyone does is check on the employer.

Thank you for the positive responses.
Ive had some bad experiences with job centre sparks in the past and I don't normally go into specifics about the job, myself or my company until we get to the PM stage.
I'll try the other sites listed and see how I get on.
yhanks.

you could try my angle grinder. always good for a shower of sparks.

If you answered the question I asked you may get some replies, but as someone else said no self respecting Sparks is going to reply if you don't give any details, probably a 1 day in and rewire out is it?

We don't need to know the specifics a general description domestic, commercial or industrial would be a start and may be the hours / days / shifts rates could be left to PM I suppose
