17th edition course in northern or republic of ireland. ???

Hey Guys Im an A/C techy by trade n was wondering does anyone here know where I would be able to do the 17th edition course and exam in Ireland?.

I live waaaaaaay down south in Wexford so if it is in the north maybe somewhere near the borders like Newry?? dont want to do it online if that helps.

Any info on the course length, contents would be greatly appreciated!!!

3 days in Ballymena, county Antrim. Is the firm paying for you to do it? If not, that will be one expensive trip!

Cheers mate aye i wish but im looking to go to the U.K to find work n all the jobs for my trade want 17th edition so itll be out of my pocket unfortunately ... antrim is a bit far alright I can stay in dublin so thats why i was thinkin newry or thereabouts. Is there an equivalent to the course in Ireland do you know?

Not sure about the south. Probably cheaper for you to jump on a flight to England to do it. Do you have a local college you can ask in? As its BS I doubt they will run it in Eire. Good luck.

Just remember, there is a place in Belfast that do it. Still a trek to Dublin every night tho. Could recommend a decent B&B near by tho.

well thats probably my best option I might drag the missus up with me for a bit of help studying lol. Can you send me a link or something to where I can enquire about the course??? I have average knowledge electrically, will the training cover the exam or would you need to be very competent before hand do you know?

The ETT in Ballymena is one option, or if you're prepared to make multiple trips one night a week then you could do it in Newry at the Tech (Southern Regional College Newry Campus).
