Sure, Sir ...

Here's the Electrical Safety Register sticker ... to stick on your van.

It resembles one giant pickle.
well...its like `the federation of master builders` or summat innit...

pay some dough...get a badge...

look, i went NIC approved caus first of all the council demanded it....and (with all due respect) the public seem to identify more with it....

i`m no hypocrite...and no socialist either...but i want to see the membership to the schemes situation sorted out....with one centralised body that is answerable to central government...and further more (and equally important)...has the guts, the will and the power to deal with those that are not applying BS7671 (and thus the EAWR) to works they carry out...

this can only now mean that employing an electrician means just that...

not Electrical Trainee crap, not 17th edition and your in rubbish.....

it means you went to college...and have the quals gained + experience to back it up...or you just aint coming in...

it really is as simple as that...

being a Electrical Trainee with 2.5 years is not in my opinion ready for an apprentice.
regardless of what qualifications they give you.
you really haven't seen enough different scenarios to have a good training basis to work with.
you are at the beginning of your career and have a lot to do.
my advice is to take any and all the training that comes your way.
so don't get me wrong Its good that you want to train someone but I wouldn't consider it until you have all the qualifications needed (that includes following the proper method of your own training,( college )

Im surprised the college will let you take the apprentice on. Do they know you are a Electrical Trainee?...

IIRC you need to have around 5 years experience as well as certain qualifications to take on an apprentice in my area...
