i have completed my C&G 2330 level 2&3, and have also completed part-p. i normally work in commercial environments but have been asked to do some work in a house, if i re-wire this house would i be able to test and certificate it?

thanks,

Yes you can. The job is notifiable so if you are not in one of the self cert scheme's you will have to notify (and pay) your local authority building control of your intentions.

grey area here. you can certify your work and notify LABC that you have done the work and as you are part pee qualified, no reason for you to pay them to duplicate your EIC. you do not have to be nicic, elecsaa etc.

Part P is a document stipulating what work requires notifying and what doesnt,it is not a qualification....how can you be part p qualified?

sorry, wirepuller, said it wrong there. meant to say that as he is qualified and as such is a competent person according to part p , he can cert. his own work.
