Cheap one day PAT testing course

Looking to just do a cheap one day PAT testing course just to get my arse covered, been doing PAT now for a while but its about 10 years since i actually got a certificate to my name for it... anyone know of any such course, perferably one day to lessen down time, but not to worried where in the country as I get round quite abit.

I still fail to understand why a fully qualified electrician would need a numpty PAT certificate!!! I can understand these 17 day whizz kids etc, needing one but a qualified electrician?? Pure madness!! lol!!

I did one at Seward got a certificate. When I registered with NAPIT had a hell of a problem getting them to accept the certificate as it was not a City & Guilds certificate. Their complaint was that I did not sit an exam or do a practical test to get the certificate. I had to get a letter from the guy who took the course to say that there was an exam and there was a practical test as well before they would accept the qualification. They also told me that you don’t need a certificate for PAT testing anyway, as long as you are deemed to be competent.

Tell me about it.... Just been advised that having some recent formal training on the subject would stand me in better stead should the $hit hit the fan at anytime.... hence why im just asking for a one dayer.
