HI
Could anybody please advise me or show me a wiring diagram for a supply into a separate garage.
I have a distribution box for garage but it came with no diagram or instructions. Not sure what latest regs are as I retired a few years ago.
I attach a picture of unit I have and any help would be greatly appreciated.
thanking you all in advance

Black on earth looks wrong instantly. I suspect that alone is a no-no!

Also it appears you have two "lives" connected up, but only one (obvious) cable entering from the bottom? Are they supposed to be the supply L & N as it kind of looks that is how they are wired?

Your safest option is to get someone in as this is not looking like a happy ending here.

Doh! Realised you have a 3 core wire, with Brown/Grey/Black phase colours. But no green/yellow sleeve used on E, or blue for N indicator.

Is that an armoured cable entering from below? If so it should be on a proper gland and that would provide the earth (maybe in parallel with one of the copper wires as you may already be planning, for a lower impedance).

The wire also looks very thin. What size is it? What sort of supply protection do you have in place?
