Glands for 1.5mm armoured cable

Hi,

I was wondering if anyone knew which size gland to use for a 1.5mm armoured cable. It has an outer diameter of 12-13mm.

I've used 20mm compression glands on hi tuff cable, but i remember the cable would go through.
So just wanted to make sure this time.

CW20S is the right size.

On the back of the gland packs is a chart that tells you what size cable the glands fit

Agreed on the 20S, although thats fine for 2 core and 3 core.... any more cores you'll need something bigger.
You cant use compression glands on armoured cable. The armour gland is brass, needs to grip the outer armour strands and be bonded to the earth.

Try swa storm glands, they are a step up from the standard swa gland especially for 20 or 25mm And look great.

+1 for the Storm Glands if you have an exposed area. Also get the ones with the Earthing Nuts as a far better arrangement than the thin nut & banjo.

20S will do up to 7 core 1.5mm.

If an internal termination the BW will do but I prefer to use the external gland CW regardless.
As all stated above the Storm glands are the way forward and sure price will come down in time!
