Hello all
I winder if anyone can help me with my 2 questions
I have fitted 14 Haler led lights 7.9w in a kitchen when I read the instruction booklet it says Haler recommend no more than 15 lights on a type B breaker why? If its only 118.5 Watts

2nd I fitted 10 Auora lights today 9 watt led dim able with an Auora 400 w dimmer all is fine but the consumer unit is a Crabtree star breaker when the Auora LEDs are on a buzzing noise comes from the cu
Why? All connection are tight and R1 +R2 are well in
Cheers

Its to do with inrush current on the LED's, habbit of tripping a B curve breaker can be common for LED'S

Led lamps have compact drivers within them to run the Led, as scots said the combined spike of the inrush on multiple lamps will trip mcb's if you exceed their guidelines.... the buzzing may be to do with the dimmer and or lamps as they chop the sign wave up for dimming and the lamps rectify the Ac waveform it can create noise which is picked up by the coil in the mcb, possible filtering issues with the dimmer or lamps and also could be mcb so not easy to trace sometimes.
Check the instructions for the dimmer and make sure you haven't underloaded it as this could be creating problems too.
