Found my own answer, they will not allow it!!
which hyundai panels?

I'm certain they will allow it on the hyundai panels we use (250 or 218 Wp mono, black framed Hyundais)

yep - anywhere within 1/4 of the length of the short side, so effectively anywhere within about 24cm of the edge. Only up to 2400 Pa loading though, so not suitable for the worst wind and snow loading situations.

no worries, you had me worried for a second there as I knew we'd mounted on the short side a few times on the Hyundais, it's one of the reasons we like them so much.
