Quick question, is an eicr still valid if the company that carried it out goes under.
 
I'd say Yes, as the company was operational at the time of the test.

EDIT: Its like if you took your car for a MOT and the week after the garage went bust.... your MOT would still be valid.

I agree but slight difference is an MOT is logged to DVLA so can easily be checked. That kind of opens up the question should the same happen with EICRs? That also deals with Authenticity since the MOT Centre is a logged and known entity.

I doubt that would be popular as it would with out doubt result in some kind of scheme and payment, though it would at least combat the cowboys.
 
If you have the report then yes, for the term recommended on it (eg 5years from date of issue).
