hi all had a call today from a customer. She has a 17th ccu the lights circuit keeps triping the rcd but only trips it when more then one light is on. I was thinking that it could be the rcd didnt no if any one else had any idear before i go round tomorrow to have a look.

are you leaving the first light on and switching differnent second lights .. i
 
no sure havent been round there to look at it yet but thats what i would say shes doing

you probably need test equipment unless your as good as myself. by knowing what and rcd does, why it operates etc.
 
Bit hard to answer without any info my money is on the rcd pixies. they love doing this.

Is this a board you have fitted as you already know its 17th.
 
no its one that the company i work for did. iam on call out for them tomorrow so wanted to fix it quick as its sunday lol
 
See if lighting has been split, could be a borrowed neutral or start looking for earth leakage
