Not sure on this one.

Mains water is coming up from the ground in lead pipe in bathroom. 2 inches of copper pipe before the stop tap. All pipework inside the house after stop tap is plastic.

Does that 2 inch of copper pipe before stop need mains bonding?

That's what I thought also. Any reason it might not need bonding? Because I'm just looking at an installation some builders have done and they didn't bond it on purpose. So before I speak up I want to be sure.

If its accessible then it needs bonding and even if it wasn't accessible I assume it still would anyway. Lisa Shaw was killed when she grabbed an earthed stop tap whilst kneeling on a wet floor that was electrically charged. Ironically it was probably the bonding that killed her but if its metal and coming out of the ground like an earth rod then it 100% needs bonding.

edit : It was Emma Shaw that got electrocuted, Lisa Shaw was killed off by the rona jab.
