Evening gents. Well I am new here so let me introduce myself. My name is Alex, i am 19 y/o currently who wishes to become an electrician one day. So far I've done 2 years in college completing my C&G 2330 L2 and C&G 2365 L3. I am currently working for a company as self employed mate/labour. Well, I am thinking of going futhermore into learning and came up with set of courses to complete. They are the following:

C&G 2357 NVQ 3
17th Edition
C&G 2391 (should I do 2392 before?)
AM2

I am planing to go into renewables such as PVs. Well put that aside, I am thinking on changing my job and looking for a different company to work for.

So questions are:
Which C&G 2357 Should I do? Maintenance or Installation first? I found this web site h**p://www.xstraining.com which offers 2357 as 2 separate courses ( If i got that right)

Anyone knows any agency or company that employs graduates like me? I am looking for job all over the adverts and leaving my CV and emails, but so far no solid response.

Should I attempt 2391 course right away, or get more experience with testing? I done my L2 and L3 perfectly and found it easy ( and yes I know that 2365 is nothing comparing to 2391)

Thank you for your responses. Sorry for any typos or mistakes :)

17th and NVQ first and follow that up with 2394/5 ( thats what 2391 is now)

Thank you for promt response guys, will go for 17th Edition and NVQ 3 first. I've seen 2399 course but it requires you to be qualified electrician, which requires NVQ 3 :(. So, yeah I'll go with NVQ after getting new job.

And also I found an NVQ course but its 2 separate courses which is
Maintenance and Installation, should I get installation first? Or maybe I should look for combined course?

Get yourself down the nearest Further Ed College and have a discussion with someone there.
Might get more sense out of them than us lot on a weekend! And it's FREE. :-)

Great to see that you're going the college route and not the money grabbing 'Training Providers' way.

Good Luck with whatever you end up doing!
