What is the cable run like, how many bends or sets are required, how long is the run? sorry for all the questions. What size cable have you calculated you will need.?Hi lads ,
I was asked by client to rewire the cooker but asked me to do it sourface . What should I use for better ? PVC conduit or self adhesive trunking ? I think the conduit it’s looking better.
Thanks
bare copper or orange ?Neither, do it in MICC.
Bare copper so it has to be polished weekly...bare copper or orange ?
6mm2 in conduit, through 4 bends, that's going to be a difficult install. The load is 2.3kW and Will be 6mm T&E , about 4 bends and no more then 8 meters .
Just out of curiosity, why 6mm2 with that load? The load is 2.3kW and Will be 6mm T&E , about 4 bends and no more then 8 meters .
It seems to be the default cable of choice, a bit like people saying that sockets must be 2.5mm all the time regardless of installation method and length etcJust out of curiosity, why 6mm2 with that load?
I know is to big for this load but you never know on the future .Just out of curiosity, why 6mm2 with that load?
If you opt for conduit why not use single core cable?I know is to big for this load but you never know on the future .
So why don't we wire lighting circuits in 2.5mm2 for future proofing?I know is to big for this load but you never know on the future .
The diversity applicable to the current demand for a cooker is shown in Table 6.2as 10 A plus 30% of the remainder of the total connected load, plus 5 A if the control unit includes a socket outlet. So why don't we wire lighting circuits in 2.5mm2 for future proofing?
2.3kW is the load so the circuit should be designed to that load IMHO.
Indeed.Over sized is better than under sized!
Seem to get lot of childish replies on here, If the OP wants to over engineer something so what.I get the drift of this post is heading for one showmanship replies
