HI, Am I right in assuming that if im using a 230v single phase to 230v 3 phase inverter to control a 1.1 kw motor, I wire the Motor in Delta wiring formation..

You still need to check the plate on the motor to confirm that its duel voltage, usually if its 230/415 motor then 415 is star and 230 is delta.

The plate does give me Rpms, hz etc for 230v and Rpms hz for 415 so im assuming its duel voltage, it has come new from the supplier wired as Star, Im guessing for the higher Voltage.. But as im using a 230v single phase to 230v 3 phase inverter, was I correct with the Delta wiring.. Im not a motor expert or anything, and don't often get involved in them, But this is the odd occasion.. Thanks for your reply as well.

just look on the plate it will have a Y shape next to 415 for star and a triangle next to 230 for delta, but sounds like your on the ball there.
