What to do once qualified as a electrician? HNC? Electrician further career path

Hello all,
I'm due to finish college at July next year and I've been contemplating what to do next?
I enjoy learning so would like to go down the route of further education..
Just wondering what people think of the HNC in electrical engineering? is it likely to benefit me in the future and worth the cost? also if anyone has done the HNC, how hard is it?
Is there any other routes you think may be better?
