I'm I right in looking for a 32v9w ac adaptor for the spec in the picture

31v… but that shouldn’t make any difference. Next one up was 36v, which would be too much for lamps.
Check the shape of the plug that it fits in the socket on the end of the adaptor.

I was going to get that adaptor but the shop selling said it had to be like for like and the 1 volt would make a difference, I didn't think it would tbh

Would go for this one, have ordered a few of those exact transformers myself, so happy to recommend it. However make sure the plug on the end is correct, also does the light set have a multifunction control box? Or was it integral to the transformer? If you could get a picture of the plug we can confirm it will work.

In my experience it will happily run light sets rated from 30-33v so doubt the rating of 32v would cause an issue.
