hiya folks

i have been to look at a job of installing a shower theres no rcd protection apart from a all in
one dual breaker with rcd , it says CORMACRUM on the cu front i have looked around and cant
find a all in one and no one has ever heard of them , its a bsen 60439-3 breakers inside any ideas.
.

Take feed from one of the breakers out of the CU into a 2 module enclosure with a standard DP RCD and then take the shower feed from the RCD.

hi again

problem being its a council house and as usual they all want to pay minimum , so new cu is a no no , as for the module i,l have to grab a price i,l let you no how i get on the board looks probly 70,s style , some jobs more trouble than there worth .thx guys

A 2 way cu is only about 30 quid just tell them what it needs and what it will cost and then its up to them,by the time you have run around trying to find a breaker to fit the cost will be the same anyway.Incidentally I live in a council house,we,re not all tight.

16/25mm tails into enclosre with rcd and mcb then 6/10mm out to shower

hiya phil

the issue was really aimed more at the change of the cu as apposed to being tight with regards of ownership of the property , i wouldnt pay for a cu in a property if i didnt own it , i also used to live on a council estate myself so sorry if it came across the wrong way . kindest regards jason

No offence taken mate been there so I know what you are up against, one bit of advice though,if you think council tenants are tight don,t ever work for millionaires, some are so tight they could split a halpenny lol.good luck mate.phil
