Cold. Good point about it being hot because the customer stated it tripped after it had been used for a while.

I suspected you wouldn't be able to, personally I don't like holding my finger on them when MCBs pop, makes me jump when your not expecting it.
safe isolation?
Oh God this is getting a little Embarrassing now, surely UK sparks knew that and was just pulling your leg, dear God surely.
Surely you have switched a breaker on and its popped? You know, when someone rings you and says the breaker wont go on, so you go and have a look and switch it and it flicks off... Doesn't require safe isolation. I suppose the bit about not expecting it was not the right word.

Yes I did know that, I have a way of using incorrect terminology some times!
Thank god thats that worry over with then lol
`til it gets to 2391 time...lol..
Eh?...
hmm...Post 12 about the elastic band was a joke....
whats this 2395?I don't have the 2391 but have got the 2394 and passed that first time and am doing my 2395 next month.
Ill be honest though I did think the 2394 was pretty easy and can't see what the fuss is. I hear the 95 is a little more tricky but will see what happens.
so..is this 2395 the replacement for the 2391?I'm guessing that was said with an element of sarcasm maybe as you would know the answer.
2394 is inspection and testing
2395 is period inspection and testing
i still did the online exam and got 98% in that and did the written exam.
so..is this 2395 the replacement for the 2391?
Not quite. Because the 'modern' electrician isnt as highly trained as the 'older' generation electrician (and being a politically correct society in which no-one fails) they split the 2391 into two to make it easier to pass.
2394 is the hold your hand thro' having a quick looksie at the electrics and 2395 is letting you do a little bit on your own.
Though of course I could be totally wrong ........
so..one is the 2392...and the other is the 2391?
