Hi,

Can someone help me to understand what is meant by the phrase 'closed-circuit working', when used in alarm and signal installations?

Closed loop under normal circumstances, which if broken triggers an alarm.

EG Tamper loop in burglar alarm wiring, which sounds alarm if anyone cuts the cable.
