I know this isn't in the security category, I can't post in it.
Ive never installed a security system in a domestic property.
Will I have to chase walls like normal a electricial circuit?
Haven't seen anything about how to run alarm cables to PIRs and I don't want to go to a future client and not sure what I'm doing. I can set them up but only ran cables in industrial properties.

Any advice on running cable through wall will be greatful

for PIRs you would usually drill up im the corner and then under floor, or sometimes under carpet. rare to need to chase walls. best option is to use wireless detectors, as with the gardtec 600.

I feel asif I have to hard wire the PIRs, the customer could just do it himself it not

customer may be able to fix wireless PIRs to the walls. him being able to program them to the panel is a NOT.

If there is a remote keypad or door contacts then chasing or mini trunking may be required.

bloody philistine. staple guns are for BT muppets. a decent alarm engineer won't use them.
They're handy for lofts. A lot quicker than clipping

nah.they're cable crushers. cowboy tools.

Micro trunking is a lot neater than ripping up carpets to use a staple gun....And with technology moving on to give Class 2 radio equipment, the only time I use wired systems now is commercial & new builds

Cheeky bugger :p... I used them for yrs when I was at the other company, if you have a half decent staple gun it has a tensioner setting lever so you should never have any issue that way and simpler quicker and easier to clipping the darn this down a long run where trunking etc isn't warranted.
