I have the relevant qualifications to become an approved electrician, but, i have not got 2 years experience.

I phoned the JIB and asked, they said as long as your employer is willing to "sponsor" me, then i can become approved.

Is this correct? Has anyone become approved before the 2 years experience as an electrician?

There you go fuzzy.....wont need to work for 2 years before entering the hallowed "electricians arms".....

Still need to be scam registered, which i've no interest of doing in the short term.

2012 will be complete my NVQ3, am taking my AM2 at the end of January (don't have to just want to) and possibly 2391 or the new 2395, am of the slowly slowly school of thought

If the job comes through which i think will, I'll be set for a couple of years on the same site, so will get to do everything from A-Z

Tbf after the abuse i've given certain posters for being clueless/dangerous I'm on thin ground with any help :D

Seriously though, I have no interest in Domestic at the moment even though i could probably take 50k's worth of work tomorrow from friends and family - If i did I would have just spent £500 doing my 17th and another £500 signing up to a scam. Then posted loads of stupid questions up on here

Forums are for discussion, banter, share ideas etc.

They are NOT for insulting other members.

The ban hammer is now in action for anyone else that is interested.

Hi Jason,

Sometimes it's hard to resist retaliating to abusive posts. The chap in question has just enrolled on some electrical course(s) and has no exposure to the real-world electrical installations but still pretends to be the wisest of all.

He had provoked quite a few members on this forum and openly claimed that he wouldn't help kitchen fitters and others who genuinely needed help, because, as far as he is concerned, they asked stupid questions. He seems to be self-centred, over-jealous and arrogant and in my opinion he shouldn't have joined this forum.

I never trolled and have no intention to do so but just wanted to get my point across. My apology, if I have caused a stir.

I wish you & other forum organisers a Happy & Prosperous New Year!
