can someone please explain why MY HAMMER are advertising on this forum please
A big bar just popped up on my right, a part of this site advertising MY HAMMER

I find that a complete insult !!!!!

Following the free advertising they received from us lot talking about them the obviously thought it would be worth a punt!

yes i notice it when i read your 'my hammer post' and visited their website, i think the way the internet works is if you visit their site then you are tracked and then get their ads in the ads space on subsequent sites you visit.

I was also surprised to see their advert on here.

If you stop viewing their website i think you'll stop getting their ads

i hope that works

If you are talking about the top right banner, i believe it is automated and does track you to various sites.

Mine is constantly showing Neweys online.

Try changing the forum skin at the bottom to "NO ADS".

I get screwfix ads all the time. but as i look at the screwfix site they must be tracking that. Very clever how these ads work but if you have already been to the site in question do they really need to advertise to you.
