It doesn't give you any info. It's hard to have an opinion on what could have caused it from the new article. He could have been trying to hump a flood light post for all we know.

If you watch the video in the article I think he climbed the fence or something that was next to the floodlight.

P.S. Whatever your personal preferences, I'm not sure the HSE would agree floodlight humpers deserve death by electrocution. Even if he was humping it, I don't think his 'tool' was the 'tool' BS7671 states is needed to open an enclosure ;)

Don't see the video link mate. Just see a pic of the cop car at the top and the story below it. Works comp must have blocked it or something.

that lamp post becoming live for some reasons (looks elevated on a concrete block) , man get caught between the lampost and earthed fence?
