Hi All
DALI lighting system distributes circuit via LCM's, for electrical test, do you stop at the LCM or light point.
how do you carry out insulation test without damaging DALI equipment

when you say electrical test do you mean ZS? and regarding the insulation test I would avoid this unless the digital addressable system was disconnected from the system due to the obvious damage even 250 volts DC from a tester could do, and even if you did remove the sensitive equipment I would only test between L-E myself because of lamps and other control gear in the system. Best to avoid the insulation test and lim it on the test sheets IMO unless the client insists otherwise. If you are talking about a ZS on the system provided you can get 230 volts up on the tester do it as per any circuit at the furthest point of utilization. I hope I have not mis understood your post and hope this information is correct.
