Emergency Lighting Fire Alarm Testing???

Hi guys,

I do a lot of electrical work for a maintenance company, and they have told me they are now getting lot's of requests for emergency lighting and fire alarm testing.

They said they would be willing to pay for me to do a course to make me competent in this sector, so that they can send me on these jobs to do the tests.

What course would i need to do and are there any in or near London. I briefly did google some but they were all in the north of england.

Couldn't tell you where to get training, but i will mention that some of the equipment you will need to conduct satisfactory testing, is going to be an expensive layout for you. Fire alarm and EM lighting testing/commissioning isn't rocket science, but is does need to be done correctly and methodically. There is a lot more to it than first meets the eye and the testing is statutory!! So if you get it wrong and an incident occurs, then you will face a court of law!! ...lol!!
