European appliance help

Hi all. I have an appliance with the following rating (see attached)

Is it ok to have this run through a standard UK 13A plug? It works but does get rather hot. Any suggestions will be great, thanks!

Yeah...nah, I'm not surprised it's getting a bit hot, it's going to pull around 14.1 Amps. You can't safely plug this into a 13A socket.

Thanks, I thought it might be too much. Another question if I may, can I sort it with a different plug? Or is it just not suitable to a standard UK socket.

Is it something that needs to be portable with a plug or can it be 'hard wired' and stay in the same place?

What a cool appliance!

Read the instruction manual and set it to operate in 10 amp mode, then you can use a 13amp plug. The drying time will be longer with the reduced heat.

or connect into a dedicated circuit with a 16A "commando" plug/socket arrangement. 2.5mm radial on a 20A MCB?

@freddo is the only one on this forum that reads the manuals - we’ve all got audio voice recordings of him reading the Ikea lighting installation instructions and we listen to it to get to sleep at night!
Even though I thought it was a personal robot first of all - it is a cool appliance!

I'd be lost without it. Been using it on 16A mode for 4 years Im embarrassed to say... Been through about 4 plugs
