:D i am half way there this year. got all the nephews and nieces bits from jan through to april so thats a big load of it sorted. just my kids and the other half to sort out next month. have to leave theirs till mid dec as their minds change faster than a conservatives manifesto

I tried to start on Saturday. Went to the Westfield shopping centre in London. Was cram packed, I can't believe how rude people have become these days.
Thank god for amazon, and thank god my wife's jewish, so her family are fairly easy. She, however likes expensive things and will expect nothing less than Tiffany or Laboutin. COW!!

No way, mid term elections are on.

I'm seeing a lot more red than blue.

Republicans now have majority of the house. The senate is still not quite decided. Very close though.

Lame duck then by the sounds of it. It was amazing he came in with so much hype, the new Kennedy, and as really achieved very litte and that was with a majority in both houses.

Christmas eve is early enough for me also. Gets me out of the house during all the mad frenzy and is always a good excuse for a few pints.

Christmas BAH HUMBUG , not done any thing when do i get a chance working 7 days at the mo ill have to do it on the internet , or buy a 10 pack of socks and give every one im giving pressies to a pair lol sound like a right scrooge lol, look its the thought that counts and ive thought about it

Wife sorts it all out so I just have to worry about her - I start taking notes about what she likes during the summer and have already bought her stuff in October. Job done.

Funny bought a tin of cadbury's Heros today for crimbo ........................slight problem just opened the tin to see if they taste OK, dont want to be disapointed on Christmas day. better check all different ones out

I often wondered if anyone actually watched this stuff on telly. Personally I dont bother, but now and again I will watch question time.

We have two boxes of chocs for the 'rents. But nothing else. Probably a mad dash new years eve, same as most years!

I often find this to be fatal, as the chocolates NEVER last until Christmas if I break the seal off the barrel!

I haven't even thought about it yet, but I went to a job today and they had their tree up!

Mother-in-law is going to Australia for December so we are going to surprise her by having Xmas on the 21st November. She doesn't know what we are doing but its the full monty Xmas. Dinner, presents, tree and trimmings. She's a great mother-in-law, always keeps me on my toes so I'm getting one back by doing this. Should be fun.

I do Crimbo shopping on the 23rd the pressure means no faffing about on options it the "**** it that will do " shopping

you all done your shopping yet then ? or are we all last minute madness on here?

Yes, thank you:cool:, been dragged kicking and screaming to Meadowhall today with the better half. Plus side, I enjoyed the day off and the sleep in till 9.30am, and we had something to eat in a restaurant there, the food was spot on, the service a bit slow, but gave me time for 4 pints of Amstel...............result:cool::cool:.

I should go more often:o.

Funny you should say that mate.

Went over to meadowhall a couple of years back and nearly did the same as you.
Flew into leeds bradford on a dark winters morning, picked up a hire car and drove to sheffield. Got there about 30 minutes late for an appointment so parked car in the first spot i found and dashed in. Couple of hours later when ready to leave i realised i didn't even know the colour or model of the car i was looking for never mind what coloured zone i was parked in. Walked about car parks for ages pressing key fob at every ford i could see until i got the good old orange flash.
