What's the best type of cable to use to minimize signal loss? It's not gonna be too long a run, maybe about 10 m :confused:

Yep, that's the best approach mate :D ... depends on a whole host of factors, primarily where in the run length the join is (and making sure you get a good connection and shield around the join so it does get interference).
