Hi I have my fault finding resit in a couple of weeks.

the 3 possible faults are-open circuit short circuit and high resistance

how would I test for each of the above faults and what sort of resolute am I looking for on the tester
The test instruments I have is a low ohm continuity tester and an insulation reactance tester

Bearing in mind the questions you are asking, do you really feel you are ready yet?
 
Well first things first. Describe to me the three different fault types you mentioned.
