Hi Ya Ladies & Gents,
Literally just registered for this forum so I thought I'd introduce myself to one and all. I have been an Electrician / Electrical Fitter since leaving school working mainly in the industrial maintenance field in the manufacturing enviroment. Having got fed up with being made redundant as the manufacturing base slowly but surely disappeared from this fair country of ours, I decided to see if I could make a living in the Further Education field.
Worked for a national training provider for a number of years and have now been employed as an NVQ assessor / Lecturer by my local FE college for about the past six / seven years. I served my time in a large government R&D establishment gaining my 236 I & II, since leaving there I have done a lot of specialised training in the industrial maintenance field, PLC's, Fluid Power, Process Control etc.
Since starting starting at the college I have gained my C & G 7302 Preparing to Teach in the Life Long Sector, my C & G 2391 Inspection and Test and I'm just sat in my office typing this waiting to start my C & G 2391-20 (formerly 2400)
My user name is related to my hobby, which is that I have been a member of the St. John Ambulance for 20+ years. I therefore have a quite broad understanding of general H&S and specifically in the First Aid / Event Management Field.
There you go that's me and I look forward to contributing to this vibrant forum.
