Hi guys I was wondering if someone could help me, I’ve got to wire a extra switch in from a grid switch which has an emergency side and normal, I know I’ve got to take 3 browns over 2 being strippers and an earth, I was just wondering if someone could tell me the connections.

Thanks

The switch on the right, looking from behind, is currently a 1W light switch, and you want to make that 2W with another 2W switch added elsewhere.
Have I got that correct?

Yes that is correct mate, just not 100% sure ok connections as I haven’t had to do one before

Does the existing grid switch have a terminal and screw in the hole next to the L1 terminal. If so, it should be labelled L2 (hidden by the wire).

In that case it's a one way switch, and would need replacing by the 2 way equivalent.
Once that's done, the wires that are currently in COM(mon) move to L2, and you connect your 2nd switch in parallel - COM to COM, L1 to L1, and L2 to L2.

Thank you very much Brian appreciate your help

How many wires are currently in that 1 way switch? It looks like only 1, in l1, is there anything in common?

Yes, the common of each switch has 2 wires in it, the link between them and an incoming/outgoing feed.
Fair enough, it just looks like the cable looping round to me but that might just be the angle of the photo
