Increase clearance of light switch

I have a rocker type light switch the sticks out bit too far and interferes with a drawer, as in the picture. The switch seems properly installed, and I don't want to move it and the drawers are in a built in unit in a walk-in closet. As I need only about 1/4 more clearance, I wondered whether there's a way to push the switch further into the existing wall box and use the existing cover plate or some other way to enclose the switch.

@Megawatt do you have any switch products over the pond there that could help? A recessed switch of some design? Or flat plate, touch design?

Is the drawer on runners? They may can be adjusted so the drawers pulls out away from the wall a tiny bit… just enough to clear.
Or, if it doesn’t show obviously, cut the drawer front.

Straight down, not just the corner where the switch is.

In the states there is no such thing as a completely flush-with wall-plane or recessed switch that could accomplish the OP's goal. That switch will have to be relocated higher on the wall, or the drawer pack needs to be set away from the wall, or re-oriented for the drawers to open into the closet, rather than skate along to wall.

@littlespark in my opinion is to raise the box as @RetiredNY advised or if it has a neutral then go with a motion sensor to turn it off and on. That would probably work but the electrician who installed this should have done his homework before installing it at that height.

I think a motion sensor switch would protrude from the wall even more than a switch?

I'm guessing he means to do away with the wall switch and wire a motion sensor elsewhere.
