Will the installation of interlinked mains powered somke detectors with battery back-up and inter-linked with standard 3-core+E PVC cable,
be acceptable to Building Control,
for a three story(two floors + Loft conversion) house, which is to be rented out on an individual room basis?

Or do I have to Install an alarm panel with fire resistant cable.:(

this is something you mwill have to take up with the LABC. some authorities would say OK, others not. best to ask them what they will accept than to do it and have them refuse to pass it.

yes its ok, has electrical supply and battery back up so ok for multiple occupancy.but dos,nt tell you if someone removes detecter

OK around Fareham and they'll have to have fire doors to ALL floors (all habitable rooms) under the new regs.
