Discuss Knipex Strippers for flex in the Electrical Tools and Products area at ElectriciansForums.net

We install literally thousands of downlighters per year (Approx 50-70 per job) and I bought these:

Cost about £13 and save hours. I hate using the stanley and snap method on short runs as you sometime find that the inner cores are easily pulled through!!!

Get some of these you won't be disapointed.

Only for flex, use my side cutters for most other things, I have to admit though, I love these, you have a little dial to set tension and once that is set correctly they strip flex with no problems and no risk of damaging the inner core.

If you look at the link below, someone is using some similar ones.

Have a good new year.

Nah, we work on new builds but nearly every house is approx 8 bedroom upwards. Last one had 48 downlighters in the kitchen area alone.

We are having to follow strict guides from the local planners in regards to 25% energy efficient bulbs, still makes me sick wondering what the customers electric bill are!!!
