lighting with no earth?

just a quicky if installing class 1 lights on a circuit with no earth (single strand) can i run a earth from a shower etc ?

Why not do a rewire,or just pull an earth in to all the lights.Personally i wouldn't.What is the state of the CU

I would tell em thay can have a ceiling rose or nowt

agree with Sparks1234, easiest way is a class 2 fitting or a rewire

Agree, class 2 or nowt...Same goes for metal-clad type switch-plates, as these need to be plastic on a no-earth lighting circuit.

they dont want rewire i was originally going to fit class 2 but hard to find class 2 downlights but im with you lot if they dont want rewire they can get someone else to do it
