100% - didn't even stretch my grey matter the hardest question probably took 20seconds to answer and that includes reading it .... god help us if anyone considers these difficult questions. These were middle school level at most i bet they are representing the high schools here which scares me just how dumb the new generations are.

The Uk still had 92% of children passing as opposed to the highest nation which had 99%. Doesn't sound too bad!

The link shown is smoke and mirrors TBH if you give a dumbed down maths quiz to everyone it will only show the weak links you need to keep increasing the difficulty until the top scorers start to buckle this will then show you the true gap between our educated kids and those of other countries... this link only shows questions that 30yrs ago were been answered by 10yr olds now 16yr olds struggle.

If you gave a similar test to challenge even the most advanced pupils by advancing the levels until the top crop start failing then compared the % gap you might see figures of UK 15% Japan 85% this is a more accurate way to gage the gap not with a lot of easy questions which only show that we have more pupils who can't achieve this basic level of questions......

I think you're probably right Darkwood, but that is just looking purely at academic ability as a measure of a country's success. I believe South Korean children spend around 13 hours a day at school, they produce very high results but also have a very high suicide rate amongst the population. I dont know but I suspect Japanese children probably spend long hours at school as well, I expect if we compared 'creativity' amongst children of different countries Britain would fair pretty well!
