Hello all,

As my thread title suggests I'm about to complete a 22 year career in the Armed Forces, I have a year and a half left and am beginning to transition to my next career choice.

I have decided to go for my JIB Gold card although I have just discovered that my nearest Electrician skills centre (Able Skills) no longer accept the MOD education grant scheme so am looking for another centre. As I can only begin my resettlement package in my last 6 months of service I intend to begin studying for my 17th Edition and have organised a placement as an Electricians mate on weekends where possible in order to gain as much experience as possible.

Would welcome any advice especially regarding online 17th Edition courses as this appears to be an absolute minefield!

Cheers

Daz

hang fire on the 17th. you don't need it at the present.the 18th comes out next year, and should be part of your core quals. course.

Start your application for you JIB card now, you may get it when you retire if your quick;) And welcome to the forum.
