Hello everyone,

Basically I have bought a new tester which is the Kewtech KT63 which i highly recommend.
However, I do my Ze test fine and for example it comes out with 0.18 Ohms, then it comes up with the PFC reading and it says something like 588.8A.
On my company's old tester it used to just come up with 1.87KA. Am i on the wrong setting or is there any translation needed to make it KA?

Thanks
Chris

your pfc reading is wrong. it should be around 1.3kA or 1300A.

Just had a look at the set up of the KT63 and see that you do your loop on No trip or High then press a button for it to calculate the PFC.

Have a play around with it until your happy thats its working correctly and doing the maths right.

I would't worry about how it displays Amps or kA as long as it is right.

I have a few meters with one of them being a Megger LT320 which does the same as the KT63 and the PFC sometimes comes out far too low when I press the PFC button especially when its hot!

230/0.18 = 1277 So as Tel has said it looks on the low side !
