if you were to work out the value of the prospective earth fault by calculation at point of the supply, what values would you need to do this calculation

If I understand you correctly You would need ze and the voltage of supply

The voltage and the Ze....

Simple ohms law V=IR so I=V/R, so the PEFC would be I, V is voltage and R is the external earth fault loop impedance.
