Discuss Quickwire New Product in the Electrical Tools and Products area at ElectriciansForums.net

It's one of those long awaited "believe it when I see it items"!
Is the release date published anywhere? - They don't appear to be mentioned on the quickwire website.

I'll definitely keep them in stock when they appear, they will be a great time-saver.

5.45 into the vid....says available next week

Just received 6 of the 24A 2 way along with a pen and pencil..! They look useful for altering ring finals in awkward circumstances..time will tell if I actually use them! A wagobox and 3 221s is cheaper by a quid and takes 2 minutes instead of 1. The Hager MF offering is already out of the running for me, far too fiddly.

Do you need to use the quick wire tool to terminate.
Not necessarily, You could strip it the same with other tools i am sure but the tool keep the cores all straight and in line perfect to insert into the connecter.

There are other cable strippers with the same form factor as the quickwire one, all the same just branded differently, they all work perfectly of course. I personally use the CK version.

I used a few of them today when moving a consumer unit. They helped enormously. I could very quickly connect up the ring circuits using the 2 way variants at the old CU location, and break into two of the rings near where the new CU was.
For me, these are already things to definitely keep in stock.
