Hi

The sockets are already in place for the upstairs bedrooms and hallway but just need to be connected to the Consumer Unit, which MCB would I need to use? Also should it be 2.5mm Twin and Earth?

Thanks for any help on this :-)

afraid if you need to ask that, you're not competent to install and test the circuit. also , as a new circuit, it should be notified to BC, so best advice is to employ an electrician.

I'm not doing it myself, and will be hiring someone to finish the job off as it was left half done. I just need to know how much work is involved in the last part of the job etc.

Thanks

as murdoch says. a local sparks may be happy for you to install the cables as long as he/she can inspect the full run before testing and energising.

Yea I will do, it's just if someone says it all needs to be ripped out when it doesn't if that makes sense? There is a spare MCB which I think they put in but unsure, sockets are all connected with the 2.5mm twin and earth and as far as I know this is correct. Hopefully just a small job for a local lad.
Thanks for the advice

Very strange post...
Must just be the way you have worded it.
Your first post sounds like your are doing the work. Your second post someone else is and someone had left after doing half a job...
Why was the job not completed?

Yes someone had the left the job half done just never came to finish it, (didn't think it was a massive job to finish) I have someone I know who can do it but think best for someone fully qualified to finish it off.

You’ll need a 20a MCB
