Discuss swa in the Australia area at ElectriciansForums.net

HI,

And how about, if I would clip it to the fence ?
It could be problem because, the fence could be change in a future..

But if I'm clipping to the concrete column ? Maybe its as well not good, because the columns are 1,5 meter far from each other.

But if I pull the swa in a plastic trunking, and I fix the trunking to the concrete columns ? Then its possible to change the wooden fance...

What do you think ?

Best regards,
Tom

tom,

forget about the fence and the trunking. lay it on the ground out of harms way and behind and bushes / trees etc. fix it where / if you can at low level. Fit a 30mA RCD to protect it to give supplementary protection. The cable is mega robust and should be fine.

Or

do the job properly and dig a 600mm trench;)

Actually this job will be what I want to show on my Napit assessment on Friday.
So it must be 101% compatible with regulations... :D

My problem with the digging, if I go 600mm deep near the fance, possibly it will collapse.. :D

oh

you could put he swa in a duct along the ground...that way its fully protected and needs no further supports....if the oracle questions this? then say you are having the trench excavated in the next couple of days.

Failing that...just start taking about caravan holidays and he will soon get side tracked..
