We’ve had two control panels given a C2 for being too rusty.
Both of their switches work properly and they are not hanging!! Both would pass the finger and wire test.
So how rusty does it need to be?
They are only rusty on the outside.

Give it a tap with a hammer, if it bounces off, it’s surface rust.
If it goes crunch and the hammer end disappears (with or without a Big Bang )
Well overdue for replacement.

P.s. turn power off before testing with hammer!
