Yesterday, spent most of the day in a hot dusty, itchy loft, altering extractor fan (previously diy installed), replacing old down lights and switching in a bathroom. Got wet feet, 'cos I had to park me van in a puddle on the drive
Today I'm going back there to make good a tiny hole made by a moving plasterboard nail, they found in an adjoining bedroom and a smudge on the ceiling in the bathroom. Apparently, the homeowner nearly cried.
I love my job
Oh hoping mine turn up todayTyping up the EICR I did yesterday and the accompanying invoice and quote for remedials. Off to see a potential customer at 11am and then producing the quote for that. Pop to Asda to pick up some batteries so I can try out my latest purchases from the toolbox of @Pete999

i've got wiha slims. they are extremely robust. in 3 years i've onlybroke 1 tip and that was my own fault for trying to undo a pozi.2 with a 4mm flat.not impressed with the slim screwdrivers from c.k.
Because there are so slim there only any good for light works I feel.
Feels like the ends will snap when tightening terminals and you can't get the grip/ torque.
I got them just to use for testing so there was n my test bag.
I use wera laser tip for installs.i've got wiha slims. they are extremely robust. in 3 years i've onlybroke 1 tip and that was my own fault for trying to undo a pozi.2 with a 4mm flat.
Best set I had, sadly gone to a new ownerI use wera laser tip for installs.
Love them
my set is pre handle storage. bits are longer and they don't supply any more as they won't go in the stupid handles of the new-fangled things. progres??? progress my ARSE.
perfect for termimals in intruder alarms untill the started using these stupid +/- things.I also love using this for terminals and testingView attachment 36544

Before the onset of heatshrink tubing, they don't know they are born.what's wrong with shoving a bit of sleeving on the blade? that's what the wimps did back in the 70's.
